Your description page says that there is a 3.5mm power connector, but I don't see one on the board anywhere. Do I have to run power to the +5v / GND connector in the top right corner?

3.5mm refers to thepitch of the connector in the upper right corner. Yes, that's where you have to power the board. The connector plug is supplied.
