Hello all!​

I’m curious to know if provisions for MELF or SMT chip fuses were provided for the individual relays. SSR failure mode is a short so I’m looking for circuit protection. If there are pads on the board that would be great!
Moreover, I couldn’t find any information on the individual relay current rating.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunatelly we do not have fast fuses on the solid state relays. The resettable SMD fuses tend to be slow.
The fast fuses fast enough to protect the SS relays are quite expensite. Multiply with 16 and you reach astronomical costs.
The relays are rated 2.5A continuous and 5A peak for 100mS.
If you need a board for an OEM project with fast fuses we can talk about it.

Thank you for the response. I’ve watched multi-sub million dollar projects burn for lack of this vital component (yeah, our engineers missed that one). I’m not about to hazard my projects similarly given my limited R&D funding. Such protection, even slow-blow, is better than nothing. I will proceed accordingly.
